SCORCHED EARTH
SCORCHED EARTH is built through accumulation, damage, and refusal to reset. The surface carries the aftermath of repeated action. Color is layered, scraped, and overworked until structure becomes unstable.
Symbols, arrows, and diagram-like forms appear as remnants of systems that once attempted order, now rendered ineffective. Direction exists, but no longer leads anywhere cleanly. The image holds tension between intent and collapse without offering repair.
The work reflects a state in which nothing is cleared for renewal. Effort, correction, and excess remain preserved as evidence rather than erased. What emerges is not chaos, but consequence.
Process remains visible throughout. Marks are left unresolved. The painting preserves its own damage as part of its structure.
