CROSSCURRENT
CROSSCURRENT is organized around a central field that holds competing movements at once. Color, line, and symbol push inward and outward simultaneously, creating a surface that feels charged, unstable, and in constant negotiation with itself.
Curved forms and angular marks intersect around a dense core, suggesting circulation rather than direction. Reds, greens, yellows, and blues collide and reroute, forming pathways that loop, fracture, and reassemble without settling into a single narrative. Figures and symbols appear briefly, then dissolve back into motion, as if passing through rather than arriving.
The work reflects a state of internal convergence, where multiple impulses occupy the same space without hierarchy. Meaning is not resolved, but held in suspension. What emerges is tension, movement, and persistence rather than clarity.
Process remains fully visible. Corrections are not concealed. The painting preserves its own crossings and interruptions, allowing flow, resistance, and overlap to coexist.
