Lust of Fire
LUST OF FIRE is driven by impulse, excess, and sustained heat. Color is applied aggressively and allowed to collide rather than settle. Bright yellows, reds, and blues push against darker, earthier layers, creating a surface that feels scorched, volatile, and alive.
White marks cut through the composition as interruption and release, introducing motion that resists resolution. The surface holds pressure and intensity without cooling, allowing energy to accumulate rather than dissipate.
The work explores desire as force rather than feeling. It is not romanticized or controlled. It burns, spreads, and consumes space, leaving behind a dense record of intensity and resistance.
Process remains visible throughout. Corrections are not concealed. The painting preserves heat, impulse, and accumulation as part of its structure.
