REZZUREKT

REZZUREKT is an original, one of one abstract painting concerned with return, rupture, and persistence after collapse.

The surface is densely layered and repeatedly reworked. Color is pushed, buried, and pulled back into view, creating a field where earlier states remain active rather than erased. Gestural marks, fragments, and symbols emerge and dissolve across the canvas, suggesting cycles of breakdown and reassembly without final resolution.

Bright passages flare against darker, resistant ground. Directional lines and partial forms imply movement and intention, but they are interrupted by weight, gravity, and excess. What rises does not stabilize. What falls is not removed. The composition holds tension between emergence and resistance, motion and obstruction.

The title references resurrection without purity. This is not renewal through cleansing, but through accumulation. Survival occurs through repetition, layering, and refusal to disappear. The work preserves its own history as part of its structure, allowing damage, correction, and insistence to coexist.

Process remains visible. Decisions are not concealed. The painting stands as evidence of return shaped by pressure rather than restoration.
